Dr. Harbach was raised in Athens, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a BS in genetics in 1985. She continued her education and received her DVM from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinay Medicine in 1990.

After receiving her DVM, Dr. Harbach moved to South Carolina and began practicing in Florence, SC. Dr. Harbach married a classmate, and moved to Camden, SC where she practiced for 6 years. In 1995, Dr. Harbach and her husband purchased Five Points Animal Clinic in Columbia, SC.

Dr. Harbach is the proud mother of three sons. The oldest attends college and the other two sons attend Dreher High School. After hours, she enjoys reading, hiking and photography. She is also an avid soccer fan. Along with her sons, Dr. Harbach’s household includes a rescue cat named Scooter and two fish.


Dr. Bierman who recently joined Five Points Animal Clinic is from Muscatine, Iowa. He completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University, majoring in Animal Science. He graduated from Iowa State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.

Upon graduation, Dr. Bierman worked in a small animal and avian practice in Ankeny, Iowa before moving to Columbia in 2009 to escape the cold Iowa winters. He loves living in Columbia, particularly because of its proximity to both the mountains and the beaches. His hobbies include camping, woodworking and home improvement. He and his wife, Brittany, already the proud parents of two young sons welcomed a third in March of this year. They share their home with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 birds and a snake.


A native of Connecticut, Allan relocated to South Carolina with his family at the age of 13. He is a graduate of Airport High School as well as having two years of college education. Allan has an 11 year old Chow/Collie mix named Shadow as well as 4 rescued pet turtles.

While not working or in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, he enjoys reading, bird watching and spending time with his family.
