At Five Points Animal Clinic, we are fully committed to your pet’s health and happiness. That’s why we recommend bringing them in for regular preventative and early diagnostic care. We offer point of care diagnostics to ensure that if your pet should become ill, we are able to offer the best possible treatment.
Pet Wellness Exams
As caring owners, you want the very best for your pet. That’s why we encourage you to schedule regular wellness exams. Annual exams, routine vaccination and diagnostic testing are recommended for the health of every pet. By seeking to prevent problems before they arise, you are ensuring your pet extended health and happiness.


Surgery
We are able to perform routine spay and neuter surgeries, more advanced soft tissue surgeries, and complete dental care for your pet. We provide complete surgical monitoring to ensure the safest means of anesthesia.
Online Pharmacy
We are happy to offer a convenient way to provide preventatives and other medications to our clients through our online pharmacy.

Meet Our Team
Your Pet Care Experts

Dr. Nancy Harbach
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Harbach was raised in Athens, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a BS in genetics in 1985. She continued her education and received her DVM from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinay Medicine in 1990.
After receiving her DVM, Dr. Harbach moved to South Carolina and began practicing in Florence, SC. Dr. Harbach married a classmate, and moved to Camden, SC where she practiced for 6 years. In 1995, Dr. Harbach and her husband purchased Five Points Animal Clinic in Columbia, SC.
Dr. Harbach is the proud mother of three sons. After hours, she enjoys reading, hiking and photography. She is also an avid soccer fan. Along with her sons, Dr. Harbach’s household includes two labradors, Brie and Neph.

Dr. Shawn Bierman
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Bierman graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after completing his undergraduate studies, majoring in Animal Science. Upon graduation, Dr. Bierman worked in a small animal and avian practice in Ankeny, Iowa before moving to Columbia in 2009 to escape the cold Iowa winters. He loves living in Columbia, particularly because of its proximity to both the mountains and the beaches. His hobbies include camping, woodworking and home improvement and spending time with his wife and two young children. They share their home with 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a snake.

Rae
Veterinary Assistant
Ryanon "Rae" Gall was born in Red Wing, Minnesota. As the daughter of a horse trainer, she grew up competing American Paint and Arabian horses. She studied Interior Design at the Art Institute of Atlanta, but her passion has always been working with animals. She lives in Cayce with her husband, two dogs (Misty and Boberry), and two guinea pigs. She also has a horse named Tigger. Her hobbies include sculpting, gardening, and home improvement.

Brittany
Veterinary Assistant
Brittany began her career as a veterinary technician in 2010. Her experience includes general practice as well as specialty and emergency. She is passionate about caring for her patients as well as getting to know and offering support to owners. Brittany grew up in Columbia and split her undergraduate education between the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Psychology from USC in 2009. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys acting and theatre, nature and camping, crafting, and spending time with her wonderful husband, two children, and a house full of dogs, cats and a Western Hognose snake.

Athena
Veterinary Assistant
Athena was born in Columbia, SC. She graduated from A.C. Flora High School. Athena has always had a passion for working with all sorts of animals. She has many different hobbies after hours including fishing, watching anima, reading mangas, and pole fitness. Athena lives with her loving yet crazy dog named Kisses (who is a real handful sometimes). She doesn’t know what she wants to do in the future yet, but she’s excited to see what’s to come.

Jasmine
Veterinary Assistant
Jasmine was born and raised in Lugoff, SC. She graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School in May of 2019. She attended Midlands Technical College for 2 years, majoring in Animal Science. Jasmine loves animals and caring for them. She has 1 dog, Millie and 2 cats, Maui and Smokey. Jasmine currently resides with her family in Lexington.

Jenna
Receptionist
Jenna was born and raised in Statesboro, GA. There she met and married her husband, Maurice. They spent a year in El Paso, TX then the military moved them to Columbia, SC in October of 2021. Her hobbies include cooking and singing. She has two years of culinary training along with an Associates degree in medical coding and billing. However, her love for animals and compassion for people drove her to becoming a receptionist at our clinic. On Jenna’s days off you’ll find her spending time with her husband, Maurice, their German Shepherd, Zadie and their kitty, Ziggy.

Kayla
Receptionist
Kayla was born in and raised in the West Columbia area. She studied Accounting at Midlands Technical College, but is currently taking a break to focus on her cleaning business, Quality Clean. Although Kayla has had many different professions, her love for animals drove her to working with them everyday. She lives in West Columbia with her husband where they have a cat named Hot Sauce and a rabbit named Tiger. Her hobbies include painting and cleaning.
