Dr. Bierman graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after completing his undergraduate studies, majoring in Animal Science. Upon graduation, Dr. Bierman worked in a small animal and avian practice in Ankeny, Iowa before moving to Columbia in 2009 to escape the cold Iowa winters. He loves living in Columbia, particularly because of its proximity to both the mountains and the beaches. His hobbies include camping, woodworking and home improvement and spending time with his wife and two young children. They share their home with 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a snake.

From guiding you through scheduling your pet’s appointment and handling check-ins and check-outs to coordinating communication with the medical team and triaging your concerns, our CSRs are here to support you every step of the way.
Practice Manager
Brittany began her career as a veterinary technician in 2010. Her experience includes general practice as well as specialty and emergency. She is passionate about caring for her patients as well as getting to know and offering support to owners. Brittany grew up in Columbia and split her undergraduate education between the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Psychology from USC in 2009. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys acting and theatre, nature and camping, crafting, and spending time with her wonderful husband, two children, and a house full of dogs, cats and a Western Hognose snake.
